Capita Symonds gets caught in traffic
London-based consultant Capita Symonds has acquired traffic management specialist MMB Associates for an undisclosed sum.
MMB employs 60 staff in Corsham and Reigate and has developed “Intelligent Transport Systems” (ITS) on the UK motorway and trunk road network. The acquisition will complement Capita Symonds’ existing ITS offering, swelling the workforce to more than 160 staff.
John Southgate, executive director for infrastructure at Capita Symonds, said: “MMB’s proven expertise and track record has influenced many of today’s ITS solutions, and this acquisition further strengthens our position as a leading transport technology consultancy.”
