Solera Holdings, a group of automotive claims services companies based in the US, has acquired HPI, a UK provider of vehicle validation services, for $100.5 million in cash and a $16.9 million note. The price tag includes a deferred element linked to future performance.

Rushcliffe Care, a Loughborough-based care home, has acquired Mappleton House Care Homes, an operator of two care homes in Nottingham, in a multi-million pound deal.

Liverpool-based online marketing and brand design consultancy Ph Creative has bought search marketing company BeVisible, also located in Liverpool, as part of its expansion plans. The terms of the deal are undisclosed.

Jersey-based Cambium Global Timberland has acquired 7,837 acres of bare land timber property for a eucalyptus plantation for conversion to charcoal for use by the pig iron industry in Brazil for £3.25 million. 

US-based Rally Software Development has acquired US-based 6th Sense Analytics, a provider of on-demand automated metrics collection and analysis products. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. 

Deals in the Pipeline

Stapleton’s Tyres has agreed to acquire 56 Central Tyre stores from Pirelli UK. The deal expands the company’s retail and distribution operations from 45 stores to 101 across the UK.
The financial details of the transaction have not been revealed.

Cleardebt Group Plc, the Cheshire-based debt advisory firm, is in talks relating to a prospective acquisition. The company said the acquisition would “not be material relative to the current size of the company and its subsidiaries”.

Building materials firm Ennstone has sold a quarry in County Durham for £1.3 million in a move to repair its stretched balance sheet. The company said the redundant quarry has been acquired by a group of local businessmen.
