  • US-based commercial insurance services firm Ironshore has purchased insurance underwriter Pembroke JV for £14.9 million cash
  • IT services company Nexus Management Plc has bought North American-based Nerd Force for $500,000 (£250,191) to bolster its services to the US
  • Mid-market private equity house LDC has acquired a minority stake in EVE Trakway, a temporary access company to the industrial and outdoor events sector
  • Leni Gas & Oil Plc, an oil & gas explorer and producer, has purchased 22.3 per cent of Australian company Byron Energy Pty for $22 million (£11 million) to increase its operations in the Gulf of Mexico and North America
  • Transport and logistics firm Stobart Group has acquired the chilled and ambient goods operations of Innovate Logistics out of administration
  • Oakley Capital Private Equity and its AIM-listed fundraising vehicle, Oakley Capital Investments, have bought Monument Securities, an international derivatives, equities and fixed income broker
  • Axon plc, a business software company, has purchased North American firm SCM Solutions, in order to bolster its supply chain software services, for up to $14 million (£7 million)
  • Distribution group Bunzl Plc has acquired its Dutch competitor Worldpack Trading B.V.
  • Technology company Smiths Group Plc has bought Triasx Pty, a Brisbane-based wireless communications components manufacturer
