  • Ramco, an Aberdeen-based oil & gas exploration company, has acquired Eagle HC for up to £2.3 million in shares, in a bid to increase its operations in the North Sea

  • smartFOCUS Group plc, a provider of multi channel marketing software, has bought ASTECH InterMedia, a US-based data-driven marketing services company for the newsmedia industry, for £1.6 million

  • Marine safety equipment supplier Cosalt plc has sold its non-core school uniform and children’s clothing subsidiary Banner to IDP for £4.5 million. Cosalt has also acquired offshore oil and gas distribution and servicing company SAHS for £265,000

  • Winstonmead plc has purchased fellow Kent-based Acorn Business Supplies to create a combined office supplies company

  • Cable communications company Stream Communications Network & Media has announced the acquisition of a new broadband network in Suwalki, Poland, for £1.6 million

  • Digital communications company Mighty Mouse Digital has acquired website design and build agency Bluhalo

  • Book publisher Random House has acquired the craft, photography and reference publisher Watson-Guptill Publications from Nielsen Business Media

  • Arc Fund Management has acquired Manchester-based IFA Throgmorton Financial Services for £1.6 million

  • Print management and marketing services firm US-based InnerWorkings Partnership has bought Etrinsic in order to expand its operations into the UK

  • Early-stage investor Longbow Capital has led a £2.8 million series C round of funding in CyDen, a Swansea-based medical devices company
