  • Mobilis Healthcare, an Oldham-based supplier of medical and sports healthcare equipment, has acquired French competitor Sacedi

  • Ultra Electronics Holdings plc, a Middlesex-headquartered technology group to the arms sector, has bought Harris Acoustic Products for $7 million (£3.5 million) in order to complement its identification products outfit Ocean Systems

  • Tricor, a Hong Kong-based professional services group, has bought Aldbridge Group’s corporate services practice in London, to be renamed Tricor Aldbridge

  • RPS plc has acquired rival Geocet, a US-based environmental consultancy, for up to £1.2 million

Deals in the pipeline:

 

  • ODS Business Services has gone into administration through BDO Stoy Hayward, with the loss of about 100 of the 300 jobs at its Swindon-based CD and DVD manufacturing business

  • National Schoolwear Centres, a Norwich-based school uniform supplier with 60 stores, has gone into administration through Begbies Traynor. No changes to the outlets or staff have been reported

  • Midlands-based hotel and pub group Innobox plc is looking to be bought in a reverse takeover
