Crater finds winning component
Computer component specialist the Crater Group has acquired MD Components for an undisclosed sum.
The enlarged business with eight employees will have a combined turnover of more than £1 million.
Long Eaton-based MD Components is a specialist supplier of computers and electronic components to the commercial market and to the education sector through schools and colleges.
Corporate partner Michael Knibbs of Shacklocks, Solicitors & Investment Advisors, acted for MD Components' founder Mark Darby on the sale.
Knibbs commented: “Dealing with the sale of a company that has been built up by its founder is always an emotional time for any vendor but we were able to use our experience on similar transactions to help Mark through the sale.”
