Confectionery and snack food group Glisten has polished off Dormen Foods’ entire share capital in a bid to widen its offering to include healthier snacking options.

The group acquired the premium branded nuts and savoury snacks supplier for £7.45 million. The deal includes further deferred and earn-out amounts, which could bring the total up to £12 million in cash, if certain conditions are met.

The shareholders of Dormen Foods were advised by solicitors at Moorhead James with the support of its property department led by partner David James with the support of its property department headed by Julian Bishop.

James said: “We have acted for Dormen Foods since its establishment in the 1990s. During this time, the vendors have built up a thriving business. It’s pleasing to have helped the vendors to achieve a successful realisation of their investment.”
