Australian firm buys UK broker
OAMPS, an Australian insurance broker has acquired UK broker Keith Johnson & Co (KJ).
OAMPS’ CEO, Peter Blackmore, commented: “The business complements the current OAMPS UK operations. They are a successful local insurance broker handling a broad range of commercial and personal lines business. The acquisition increases the scale of our Surrey-based operations and is a step towards the continued growth of our insurance broking operations in the UK.”
KJ principal Keith Johnson added: “When I decided to sell my business I was approached by several interested parties. In my view OAMPS’ offer was the best for me, my staff and my customers. I look forward to working with the OAMPS team and helping grow the business.”
Law firm Thomas Eggar LLP advised the vendor.
