Investment fund joins AIM and CISX
Cambium Global Timberland, a fund established to invest in forestry assets, has joined AIM and CISX. The company placed shares at 100p each, raising £104 million.
Jersey-based Cambium aims to build a portfolio primarily based in North and South America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Carey Olsen was Jersey legal adviser to Cambium. Its team comprised partner Eve Kosofsky and associates Zoe Lynn and James Fox.
“Jersey was the jurisdiction of choice following the introduction of the new fast-track Jersey Listed Fund regime, said Kosofsky, “which enables closed-ended companies listed on recognised exchanges to qualify for a 72-hour approval process and light-touch regulatory regime. Cambium was one of the first to take advantage of the new regime.”
