Paul Hodgson bought from administration
Car transportation business A1 Automotive has bought the assets, stock and goodwill of struggling rival firm Paul Hodgson Transport for about £20,000.
The deal was agreed immediately after Paul Hodgson, which trades as P&D Hire, entered administration under Begbies Traynor. A1 is now looking at expansion.
Lindsays was legal adviser to A1, while Langleys, led by Stephen Baylis, was legal counsel to the vendor.
Lindsays’ team was led by Anthony Murray and assisted by head of employment Emma Anstead. The deal is its first for A1. Murray said: “The transaction had to be completed quickly as the vendor’s financial position required it to appoint administrators and creditors were threatening liquidation, which would effectively derail any deal.”
