BSS Group takes the heat
BSS Group, a Leicester-based distributor to specialist trades such as domestic plumbers and industrial contractors, has acquired Direct Heating Spares (DHS), a distributor of spare parts to the heating industry, from the Gough family shareholders for £5.7 million in cash.
In the 12 months ended 31 March 2009, DHS reported revenues of £10.5 million.
Gavin Slark, BSS Group chief executive, said: “We are delighted to secure the acquisition of DHS. It is a high-quality business and significantly enhances our customer proposition in the substantial and growing parts market.”
BSS Group reported strong trading figures in the six months ended 30 September 2008, with an increase in revenue of 9.9 per cent to £685.9 million and an increase in profit before tax of 11.4 per cent to £29.3 million.
